Dr. Flack’s philosophy of care is founded on the understanding that the body and mind have the ability to heal, and he sees his role as a physician as providing direction in that process. While medication can be helpful or essential in some cases, Dr. Flack emphasizes that long-lasting improvements in health are achieved through changing habits. He believes that changes in habits are essential for improving health and that osteopathic and functional medicine philosophies offer tools to help these changes. Improvements in physical and mental health can be achieved when physicians and patients work together.
