Juan C Fuentes, M.D.

Juan Fuentes, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who strives for accountability, compassion, excellence and mutual respect. He earned his medical degree from National Autonomous University of Honduras School of Medicine in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and completed his family medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Fuentes proactively works with his patients to help them find the right balance. Dr. Fuentes’ philosophy of care includes lifestyle medicine, an evidence-based approach in the prevention and treatment chronic disease, as well as a holistic approach to medication management, trying to avoid medications whenever possible.

His special interests are geriatric care, hypertension, mood disorders, preventive care, skin disorders, and management of chronic health conditions, including diabetes.

Dr. Fuentes enjoys biking, healthy cooking, learning new languages, martial arts and reading.
