Michael D Timmel, M.D.

Michael D. Timmel, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive primary care for adults ages 18 and older. He brings years of experience in preventive care, chronic disease management and promoting overall wellness.

  Dr. Timmel earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He is actively involved in national efforts to improve the quality of patient care and serves on two committees with the National Committee for Quality Assurance. On the Diabetes Care Committee, he helps recognize clinicians who deliver high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with diabetes. He also serves on the Cardiovascular and Stroke Care Committee, which promotes best practices for treating patients with cardiovascular disease or stroke.

Dr. Timmel was honored with the 2018 Orlando Health Exemplary Physician Award, which recognizes physicians who go above and beyond in their roles and shows a strong commitment to teamwork and exceptional patient care.
